What better way to show your loved ones some appreciation than with a hand-made creation? Head down to the Fraser Valley Bead Show to find everything you need to string this Thanksgiving into a celebration!
Find lots of beads, jewelry, and 16 great classes so you can learn how to make your own jewelry! “This year, we are really excited about our do-it-yourself workshops,” says Show Manager Barrie Edwards. “With more people looking to jazz up their wardrobes on a budget, accessorizing is the perfect way to add style to what you already have.”
Put the bling in your beadwork by learning how to solder a sterling silver leaf-themed pendant. Turn your own collectibles into resin trinkets. Impress your friends with your hand-made, etched metal bracelets!
“Every student receives a free weekend show pass upon signing up,” Barrie notes. “And with nearly 50 vendors gathering here from all over North America, there is going to be something for everyone.”
From fair trade African beads, to hand tools, to gemstones, the Fraser Valley Bead Show has it all! Shop festival favourites like Fire Foxes, Country Beads, Bijoux Du Monde, Pacific Pyros Glass Bead Makers, Strung Out On Beads, Caliente Art Glass, and Empress Beads.
“Past years have been so busy that we are opening early at 2pm on Friday and extending the show until 6pm on Saturday,” says Barrie. “That leaves plenty of time for turkey dinner on Monday!”
