Make Your Perfume Last Longer

People employ many methods to ensure that they smell good for a long time. Why shouldn’t they if they have spent their hard earned dollars on some fragrance? Just spraying more is not the way to go. For one thing, it won’t necessarily work and it will cost you more money in the long run. Plus you could end up smelling too strongly. There are many ways in which you can get more bang for your buck by using simple tricks that are sure to keep you smelling sexy. Don’t worry, there is a ton you can do to hold your scent of choice without making yourself unbearable to others an without spending a ton of money.

The first thing you can do when wearing perfume is to wear the matching lotion. This will certainly add to the length you can expect the scent to last. A great example is Victoria’s Secret body lotions and sprays. If you rub yourself down with the scented lotion, then spray the liquid, you can expect the scent to hold longer since it will be rubbed into your skin and sprayed over your clothes. This will also help because layering perfume products makes them last longer as well. You can also layer by spraying your body, then also spraying your clothes.

Layering can be done with a number of products. Some companies offer bath wash, shower wash, cream, and even deodorants with their signature scents. If your brand of perfume comes with “accessories,” use them to your advantage. Combine them to ensure you have all day perfume coverage.

The quality of the perfume matters as well. The more highly concentrated the perfume, the longer it will last. Choose eau de parfum, which is higher quality and has more oils. Eau de toilette and eau de cologne have less oils, therefore, the scent lasts a shorter time. People often rub their wrists together after spraying perfume on them. This is unwise since the perfume won’t “soak in” as well. Another good idea would be to take care of your skin. This is a wise choice all around, but healthier skin absorbs perfume more easily.

Wear your fragrance in the right spots. Most people suggest pulse points. The logic here is that the warmth of these areas helps diffuse the scent. You also want to spray it where people may get close to you. Obviously, spraying the fragrance on your neck and chest makes sense in case someone embraces you, especially that special someone. Many people have even taken to spraying the scent over their hair to ensure maximum fragrance power.

Perfume power does not have to diminish easily. You certainly want it to last at least a few hours. By layering, using multiple products, and choosing quality perfumes, you can ensure your fragrance performs. That is not to say you have to be overpowering. You don’t have to bathe in perfume, you simply have to employ simple strategic fragrance maneuvers.
